The Society provides both Front Office and Back office banking services as follows;
TYPE OF SAVINGS ACCOUNTS AVAILABLE IN FOSA
A) SALARY/PENSION PROCESSING This service is available to Sacco Customers who wish to be paid their salaries/Pension through FOSA. The employer channels salary payment cheque direct to FOSA Cooperative Bank Account through EFT/Cheque, then emails the Payroll schedule to the relevant FOSA Branch and then the Society credits the money to Customer’s Savings account at a fee of kshs.100/= |
B) STANDING ORDER SERVICES The Society enables our Customers to effect payments to other institutions/Bank account without coming into contact with physical cash. Sacco Customer gives specific instructions to FOSA on how much? And when to process the payment to the other party by downloading Standing order Form from our website. Charges per order is kshs.200/= |
C) BANKERS CHEQUE The Society offers Sacco Customers bankers cheque at accost of kshs.100/= per leaf |
D) OVER THE COUNTER SERVICES Services available to all Sacco Customers who want to make Cash withdrawals and deposits in the banking hall |
E) ELECTRONIC MONEY TRANSFER The Society enables Sacco Customers to transfer money to other banks through ‘Real Time Gross settlement process Meaning the payment transaction is not subjected to any waiting period. The transactions are settled as soon as they are processed. |
F) VISA ATM Services The Society offers VISA Branded ATM cards to Sacco Customers to enable them access their money through Cooperative Bank ATM machines as well as any VISA branded ATM machine worldwide. G) MOBILE BANKING SERVICES i) Ukulima Kash How to Access the service You have to be a Sacco member with a registered Safaricom MPESA line. Once your application has been approved you will get an SMS with start PIN with clear instructions on how to change your start PIN and enable you access Ukulima Kash Menu. After changing your start PIN you will get another SMS informing you that your PIN reset is successful wait for 24hours for your account to be active. Once your account has been activated you will need to dial *882# to start using the platform for the following services:
ii)Mobile Cash Deposit This service enables our Customers to deposit money to their FOSA Savings accounts, Repay their loans and increase their Sacco deposits without travelling to our physical Branches. This service is available on MPESA Menu Paybill option. To make deposit go to:
